THANK YOU for the piece on The Nature Conservancy. I long ago crossed them off my "donate" list as they stood silent in Colorado about the lack of land use planning and protection for critical wildlife habitat. They, of course, also refused to weigh in about our nation--variously over recent decades--being one of the fastest growing nations on Earth SOLELY DUE TO IMMIGRATION, MOST OF IT ILLEGAL. I'm simply done with "Let's mop the floor, rather than turn off the faucet" organizations that, from my view, exist for their own well-being, rather than real efforts for the environment.
Hi, Kathleene - Good to hear from you! Thanks for reading, and thanks for the feedback, adding your insight on The Nature Conservancy.
I was very glad I found the discussion between Josh Schlossberg and Jonathan Ratner, Director of Sage Steppe Wild. It was truly an eye-opener for me. Another instance of me feeling conned!
A concise, informative review of the latest and too often troubling news about the nation's wildlife challenges. Maria's post about the monarch butterfly is particularly distressing. Hard to think of the monarch, a national treasure, vanishing.

Thanks, Joe! Appreciate the support! We have to speak for the wildlife; they can't do it themselves!
